Social Coach Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Coach Social Thinking® groups
  • Develop curriculum
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Develop instructional goals and objectives
  • Work collaboratively with Social Thinking® team members
  • Be a team player – have a flexible personality and be willing to work on an as-needed basis
  • Attend team meetings
  • Communicate effectively with parents and school team members as necessary
  • Have flexible scheduling and the ability to dedicate some early evening hours
  • Have a dynamic teaching style consistent with current best practices for teaching Social Thinking® groups


  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or in the field of Mental Health
  • Prior experience in coaching Social Thinking groups using Michelle Garcia Winner curriculum
